Oud Silk Fragrance Oil

Oud Silk Fragrance Oil – A smooth, luxurious blend of soft rose and airy oud draped in silky musk and delicate woods. Elegant, modern and quietly addictive.

Fragrance Profile

1. Top Notes: 

   • Sheer citrus sparkle (bergamot / mandarin)

   • A hint of fresh florals or chamomile softness

2. Heart Notes: 

   • Velvety rose

   • A polished oud accord (woody, slightly resinous rather than animalic)

   • Subtle violet / powdery floral facets, 

3. Base Notes: 

   • Soft musk, amber, and vanilla/tonka for warmth

   • Smooth woods (cedar / sandalwood)

   • Gentle balsamic nuances for that “silk fabric” feeling

 

Uses

1. Personal Care Products: 

   • EDP / Parfum (in perfumer’s alcohol):

     • Use around 15–25% fragrance oil in the finished perfume.

     • Macerate 2–4 weeks, then chill and micro-filter for clarity.

   • Body/room mists:

     • Typically 3–8% Fragrance oil

2. Personal Care Products: 

   • Body lotions / creams / butters:

     • Roughly 0.3–1.5% FO (higher only if IFRA allows).

   • Shower gel / hand wash / shampoo:

     • About 0.5–3% FO.

   • Bar soap / syndet:

     • Usually 1–4% of oils; oud/amber notes tend to survive well in soap.

   • EDP / Parfum (in perfumer’s alcohol):

     • Use around 15–25% fragrance oil in the finished perfume.

     • Macerate 2–4 weeks, then chill and micro-filter for clarity.

   • Body/room mists:

     • Typically 3–8% Fragrance oi

3. Home fragrance (no direct skin contact)

   • Candles (soy / coco / paraffin):

     • Start at 6–10% FO of wax.

     • Cure 24–72 hours and test multiple wick sizes (oud/amber bases throw nicely if wicked correctly).

   • Wax melts:

     • 8–12% FO, depending on wax and desired strength.

   • Reed diffusers (e.g. Augeo base):

     • Around 15–25% FO.

   • Room sprays:

     • 1–5% FO with a proper solubiliser; patch-test fabrics if used near textiles.
